Mid-Cities Care Corps (MCCC) offers a Lunch and Learn once a quarter to show our appreciation for all of our Volunteers and Supporters interested in learning about a subject area that may help them in their volunteer efforts. MCCC provides water, chips, and cookies and the volunteers bring their own bag lunch.
In January, one of our Volunteers, Beth Claypool, presented information on basic First Aid. Beth is a retired RN and presented some wonderful information to help Volunteers and Staff alike handle health issues with our Clients. There were 30 Volunteers in attendance and the MCCC Board was represented by Cris Gross. We held a drawing for gift cards and Lois D. won a gift card to Italianni’s and Tammy N. won a $25 Visa Gift Card donated by Lucas Funeral Homes. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to our gift card sponsors.
The next Lunch and Learn will be in May!
